WHAT'S NEW IN 2016?
We have reduced prices for most 2016 Workshops.
Registration is on-line only.
Anyone registering for three hour or longer
workshops on or before September 15, 2016 (11:59 pm EST) will receive one (1)
two-day pass to the Festival. Students registering for shorter classes OR
registering after September 16, 2016 (12:00 am EST) will receive a pass for the
day of their workshop only.
Lunch will no longer be offered, but we have
arranged for the Fairgrounds Cafe to be open.
A $25 transfer fee, invoiced via PayPal will be
incurred to transfer/sell/gift a class
No incentive for early registrations, but if
someone would like to volunteer for 2017.....
This on-line registration module allows you to select
classes using a shopping cart and check out at one time.
The system works best with Firefox or Chrome.
"Clean" your history and cache and try again before contacting us.
Our on-line registration utilizes payment via PayPal. You do
not have to have your own PayPal
account to register. PayPal allows you
to use your own credit card or even a check (but checks have to clear before we
can confirm your seat) - just follow the instructions throughout the
Once you complete your PayPal transaction please click on
the link in blue type to return to the Festival website. Doing this will clear
your shopping cart. If you do not, despite being already purchased and paid
for, items will remain in your cart and have to be manually removed.
Please see "Payments/Refund Information" for more important information on PayPal transactions.
Seat availability shown on the registration pages is not a
guarantee that an actual seat is able to be purchased. If an over sale of seats
occurs, the price of the over-sold seat will be refunded in its entirety.

our critical email blasts from MailChimp (your e-tickets, logistics notices,

BUYING FOR OTHERS
- The shopping cart feature allows you
to purchase more than one seat in a class, allowing you to buy an extra seat
and/or purchase one in a different class for a companion. If doing so, make
sure the correct email address is associated with the companion taking the
class. The Festival is not responsible for incorrect association of email
SURPRISE and/or GIFT
PURCHASES - By checking the GIFT checkbox and providing your own email
address, you handle the logistics of the
surprise gift. E-tickets are associated with a name and email address, one name
per email address. If you and your gift recipient will not be arriving
together, contact us to make arrangements to get their e-tickets to them. This works to make gift giving easier and the

payment system. Your bank statement may

It will not indicate the payment is made to the NYS Sheep & Wool
If a dispute is initiated by the buyer via PayPal, it can
take up to 180 days for it to be resolved (and it does, unfortunately for all
involved). While you should be diligent
about checking your financial statements, be aware that you will have to
register for the class again - don't worry if the workshop is sold out - AND
reimburse the Festival for the dispute resolution fee we incur from PayPal via
a money order (no checks, no PayPal invoicing).
If the dispute is resolved in the Festival's favor, the buyer will be
reimbursed for the cost of the original transaction. If the dispute is resolved in the buyer's
favor, no reimbursement will be made because PayPal will refund the buyer
directly. In either case, the dispute
resolution fee will NOT be refundable.

Refunds are issued through either PayPal or by check and the

CAN I SELL/GIFT MY
CLASS? Absolutely. You can either gift the class to a lucky
recipient or you can sell it. A $25
transfer fee will be incurred and must be paid via PayPal before the transfer
is completed. The original registrant
remains the owner of the seat, but the new buyer becomes the attendee.
If you need to sell, you may want to try starting a new
thread in the Rhinebeck!! group on Ravelry, but how the workshop is marketed is
the sole responsibility of the seller. Our
ONLY involvement in either of
these types of transactions is to collect the information from the SELLER about
the buyer (name, email, and contact information). The Workshop Manager will NOT communicate with buyers until the
seller provides information.
Providing information for any type of transfer must be
directed to firstname.lastname@example.org - emailing any other Festival email
address will prevent changes from being made.
CAN I TRANSFER TO
ANOTHER CLASS? You can as long as
it's 45 days before all Workshops begin - there will be a $25 fee and you will
have to register for the new class first.
Once that is completed, you will be either refunded the original fee
minus a $25 fee via PayPal or by check, the method chosen is solely dependent
upon the date of registration.
Class registrations are confirmed via email 24-48 hours, but
during peak times, allow 72 hours. This confirmation will be in ADDITION to the
payment confirmation that only the buyer will receive from PayPal.

If you get a
confirmation from us, you're in the class regardless of whether the title has a
suffix of "SOLD OUT."
If there's a class cancellation or any reason to contact
attendees at the last minute, we may not have the email address for the gift or
companion attendees! The purchaser has the responsibility to pass on our
communications to the attendees for whom you've purchased workshops.

outside in tents usually are workshops that use water, but with space at a
premium, other types of classes may be held in tents, as needed.
Because the "floors" in the tents
are usually concrete/blacktop pads, you may want to take that into
consideration and wear the appropriate footwear if it's cold/rainy.
These areas are clearly marked on the map of
the Festival grounds. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the map and

Classes in Building D are held in ‘rooms’ created by a pipe

If you don't like to get your hands dirty or wet, contact

THE FINE PRINT
The materials fee is listed in the class description, but,
as noted, it is included in the total registration fee. There are no additional
charges once the fee is paid.
Instructors are NOT allowed to sell directly to students in workshops.
Students ("attendees") registering on or before before midnight on September
15, 2016 (11:59 pm EST) for workshops three hours or more will receive ONE
two-day admission to the Festival at no additional charge, regardless of the
number of classes in which you register. Students who are only registered in
classes that are less than three hours in length OR register after midnight on September
16, 2016 (12:00 am EST) will receive a pass for the day of their class. They will NOT get a two day weekend pass.
Admission passes, e-Tickets, are emailed approximately two
weeks prior to the Festival. E-tickets are needed for entry to the fairgrounds
on SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. Classes on Thursday or Friday do not require a ticket
to enter the grounds. Once sent, the e-ticket is the responsibility of the
student. If lost, an entrance ticket to
the festival will need to be purchased.
Students registering after October 8, 2016 will NOT receive
an e-Ticket, but names will be placed on an admission list at the 4H and
Mulberry Street gates and ONLY these two gates.
Registrants are encouraged to periodically check the
Festival website and/or Facebook page for updates.
A logistics email will be sent to all registrants about two
- three weeks prior to the Festival. If
you don't get one, check spam/junk folders before emailing
Instructor Illness Clause: On rare occasion it may be
necessary to cancel a class or several classes due to instructor illness or
travel delays. Should this occur, the Festival will make notification, as soon
as possible, by the following methods: email, cellular telephone number, if provided,
and home telephone number. The student will have the option of participating in
another scheduled class, providing there is a place available in that class OR
a refund for the class will be given. The Festival WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for travel or hotel fees incurred by the student or any other fee related to the cancellation. If the student opts for a replacement class, NO REFUND WILL BE
