Felted wool is a dream to applique –
the fabric is soft and buttery to the touch, there is no need to turn under
seam allowances and it needles beautifully! Because the stitching is bold, it’s
great for a take-along project or evenings sitting with the family.
Diane will share lots of tips and tricks as you create your 9” square Sheep on Wheels block, perfect to use on its own or to embellish a ready-made pillow or tote.
Email any questions to Diane at firstname.lastname@example.org
A materials fee of $15 is included in the class registration fee.
Materials Provided by Instructor: Felted wool for background and appliques plus coordinating threads for stitching, large and small buttons for embellishment, needles, threader, tulle and waxed paper, pattern and instructions.
Materials Provided by Student: Sharp fabric scissors to cut applique shapes, Sharpie fine point permanent pen (NOT Ultra Fine Point), acid free basting glue stick, small ruler (1” X 12” Omnigrid is suggested), straight pins. Optional, but helpful: thimble (I use a leather quilting thimble), battery operated task lighting.
