Materials Provided by Student: About 850 yards (2 skeins) sock yarn (allow extra for extra large hose) Needles :1 set size 4 [3.5 mm] DPN, 1 set size 1 ½ [2.5 mm] DPN or sizes required to achieve gauge Note-taking supplies, tapestry needle, waste yarn.
Homework: Determine gauge by swatching: 40 sts and 48 rnds = 4" [10 cm] in wide rib patt on smaller needles Wide Rib Pattern: (multiple of 10 sts) Rnd 1: K4 *p2, k8; repeat from * to last 6 sts, p2, k4. Repeat Rnd 1 for patt.
