As a designer, teacher and lecturer, Diane brings over 33 years experience in needle arts to her classes. From designing a limited edition teddy bear for Disneyland, CA to teaching and lecturing for quilt and needlework guilds plus various festivals around the country, she brings a wide array of knowledge to her classes.
With her extensive background in quilting, especially crazy quilting, when Diane discovered wool applique several years ago she declares she was smitten! Since then she has introduced many traditional quilters to the joys of wool applique through her program Working with Wool for Quilters.
Diane's first exposure to punch needle came through her interest in dolls' house miniatures where this technique is used to create tiny "hooked rugs." But she quickly came to see its potential for other wonderful folk art creations of all kinds.
Diane has lived most of her life in the beautiful Hudson Valley. She and her husband Eric share their cozy chicken coop-turned-cottage with their 94 pound Irish Setter, Tucker.
