As an interpreter
and Museum Teacher at the Farmer’s Museum in Cooperstown, NY, I have had
opportunity to learn a variety of skills and crafts, as well as having the joy of
learning about life in the 1800s. Teaching the Soap making Workshop in the
Americana Academy at the museum has given opportunity to teach others the
almost endless possibilities in this craft!
Creating such a useful item,
quickly became one of my passions as I discovered the amazing scent of essential
oils, beautiful natural colorants, and the widely varying properties of the
fixed oils. Attending this workshop gives such a great hands on opportunity to
learn the basics, and start your journey of creating your own all natural
ingredient filled soaps!
