Donna's Bio:
A knitting instructor and designer for over 25 years, she is also an accomplished handspinner.  Known for her patient teaching manner, she delights in sharing her knowledge and passion with her students. Donna is also a freelance knitwear designer and author for publications such as Interweave Knits, Spin Off, PLY and her company, Tree of Life Designs. She resides on a farm in New Hampshire with her husband, horses, a flock of sheep and a growing herd of spinning wheels. She may be reached at

Jane's Bio:
Jane has spent the last 36 years working as a production weaver. In 1991 she earned an MFA from San Francisco State University with a concentration in textiles. She currently lives in Peacham, Vermont on Brigid's Farm which is home to a small flock of Border Leicester X sheep, natural colored angora goats and dairy goats. Her mail order business and on-farm studio specialize in natural dyes. She teaches regularly in her studio but travels several times a year to teach at festivals, for guilds and other venues.  Jane's other interests include spinning and knitting, ethnic textiles, and surface design techniques on hand woven fabrics.  Her recent article Making Stock Solutions from Natural Dyes appeared in the Spring 2014 Color issue of Spin-Off Magazine.
